The newest express shop in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, was opened with great fanfare by Lulu Retail, the most prominent hypermarket company in the Middle East. In addition to helping Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 effort for economic growth and job creation, this strategic expansion is in line with Lulu's dedication to provide top-notch shopping experiences.
The new Lulu express store was formally opened by Mazen bin Ibrahim Rajab, Chairman of the Madinah Chamber of Commerce, in front of Yusuffali M.A., Chairman of the Lulu Group, Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, Consul General of India in Jeddah, and other notable officials.
Makkah project
The new Lulu store, which is 23,000 square feet in size and provides a contemporary shopping experience, was created in collaboration with Al Manakha Urban Project Development Company. Like Lulu's Jabal Omar store in Makkah, it offers a carefully chosen assortment of fresh food, everyday necessities, and departmental items. Officials from Al Manakha Urban Project Development Company and Jabal Omar Development Company said they were confident in Lulu's ability to help these high-profile retail developments succeed.
Commitment and expansion
Yusuff Ali highlighted Lulu Group's dedication to providing top-notch shopping experiences and generating employment opportunities for Saudi nationals while thanking King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the Saudi government for their assistance.
With three more large projects planned for Madinah, Lulu intends to expand significantly throughout Saudi Arabia. Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, the Indian Consul General in Jeddah, highlighted the new Lulu store's significance in furthering regional growth in Saudi Arabia during the inauguration. Additionally, he called Lulu's efforts to assist pilgrims "very remarkable."
The new Madinah store features a layout inspired by the city’s cultural and architectural essence, ensuring a spacious and easily navigable shopping environment for convenience and comfort. Key highlights include:
- A fully stocked express store with fresh produce, grocery essentials, and international products.
- A special focus on Saudi-grown products, including premium-quality Madinah dates.
- Dedicated fresh food sections offering high-quality fruits, vegetables, meat, and seafood.
- Select departmental items similar to Lulu’s Jabal Omar store in Makkah.
To serve the requirements of locals and visitors, the store will be open every day from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
With this latest expansion, Lulu Retail reaffirms its commitment to providing a world-class shopping experience while contributing to the Kingdom’s economic development. The new Madinah store stands as a testament to Lulu’s dedication to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
